Purpose
The City of Sydney commissioned Environmetics and City Marketing to carry out this Study to develop strategies and actions to enhance the Redfern Business Precinct. The focus is on actions in the next 3-5 years.
Study Area
The study will focus on Redfern Street and Regent Street and surrounds.
As part of the study, we are conducting –
- A Situation Analysis
- Shopper Survey
- Business Survey
- Local Business Forums
We will also review Floor Space Employment data, and consider initiatives that have been implemented in
other places.

What's next?
We will draw together all the data and prepare a strategy for Future Directions for the Business Precinct.
The draft strategy will be presented at a forum of businesses and stakeholders on Tuesday 17 June, hosted by the Redfern Waterloo Chamber of Commerce. Feedback and comments will be incorporated into the final report for the City of Sydney.
Diary Note: Tuesday 17 June, 6.00-8.00pm. Business Forum to review draft Study recommendations. Where? At Mr Marys, corner of Pitt and Redfern Streets.
